Capital Credit Retirement for Estates

Washington EMC retires capital credit to members based on bylaws, policies and regulations as approved by our Board of Directors.

In accordance with Policy 910 of the Cooperative, WEMC also retires capital credits on an accelerated basis for a deceased member's estate. It is Washington EMC's goal to help a deceased member's heirs process any final business that the member had with the cooperative in a streamlined fashion. In order to enhance this experience for our members and their heirs, WEMC will retire allocated margins of a member to the lawful heirs of the member at the time of death.
